Before the Session
Most of the work happens before the session. Here's the full checklist.
1. Book a Date
Book a date, select in-person or virtual, and confirm your attendee count. You'll get a confirmation email immediately.
2. Start Your CAPG Application (If Filing)
CAPG recommends applying 30+ days before your session as a buffer for approval — the hard rule is training can't start until your application status shows "Application Received."
Full application steps and eligibility: CAPG Guide →
3. Tell Your Employees
The session lands better when employees know what they're walking into. A one-liner from leadership is enough:
"On [date], we're doing a 75-minute cybersecurity session run as a card game — no lecture, no quiz, just real scenarios. Show up and participate."
Don't reveal more than that. Part of the effect comes from the scenarios being unexpected.
4. Submit Your Attendee List
If you're filing CAPG, you need the full legal name of every attendee for the training record. Submit your list at booking — it's also what triggers WILDCARD to send your CAPG training package.
5. Prepare the Room (In-Person Only)
- Table or semicircle of chairs that fits the full group
- Projector or screen (optional — sessions run fine without one)
- Snacks or lunch if the session runs at noon
The facilitator arrives 30 minutes early and handles all setup. Do not print anything or prepare materials.
See In-Person Logistics → for the full day-of timeline.
