Virtual Logistics
Virtual sessions run on your existing platform. No new software for your team to install.
Platform
GoPhish virtual runs on whatever your team already uses:
- Zoom — preferred; most interactive features available
- Microsoft Teams — fully supported
- Google Meet — supported (some features vary)
Specify your platform when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
What We Need From You
- Co-host or host access — so the facilitator can manage screen share and meeting flow
- Meeting invite sent to attendees before the session — you send the link to your team, we join as facilitator
If you'd prefer to stay as host, the facilitator can run the entire session through screen share and chat — just flag this when booking.
Tech Check
The facilitator joins 15 minutes early to confirm:
- Screen share is working and visible to all participants
- Audio is clear on both ends
- Co-host permissions are correctly set
Please have one person from your team join for the tech check. Do not leave it to the general attendees — someone who can fix permissions needs to be there.
Participant Setup
- Camera on is encouraged — it makes the group dynamic work better — but not required
- Participants join muted by default; the facilitator manages when to open discussion
- No software to install — just the meeting link you already use
How Answers Work Virtually
In-person, teams discuss and commit to an answer out loud across a table. Virtually, the facilitator uses polls, chat, or platform reactions (e.g. Zoom thumbs up/down) for each scenario. The group interaction still works — it routes through the screen rather than across a room.
The facilitator adapts to what's built into your platform — no extra tools required.
Group Size
Virtual sessions have no hard cap. Sessions have run with 8 people and with 80. Groups over 40 work better with webinar controls in Zoom. Email play@gophishing.ca if your team is over 40 so we can confirm the right setup.
